Pirruccio K, Yoon YM, Ahn J (2019). JAMA Surg 154(5):458-459. https://doi.org/10.1001/jamasurg.2019.0061(PMID 30840050,PMC6537776)
  • 原文:「The annual number of patients 65 years or older presenting to US emergency departments with fractures associated with walking leashed dogs increased significantly between 2004 (n = 1671; 95% CI, 1111-2232) and 2017 (n = 4396; 95% CI, 3202-5590)」
  • 原文:「Most fractures occurred in women (78.6%; 95% CI, 74.9%-82.2%). Most patients sustained hip fractures (17.3%; 95% CI, 13.8%-20.7%), although the upper extremity was the most frequently fractured region overall (52.1%; 95% CI, 48.1%-56.1%); 28.7% of patients (95% CI, 23.7%-33.8%) required hospital admission.」
  • 原文(动作依据):「advocating for preventive actions, such as obedience training to ensure dogs do not lunge while leashed, or suggesting smaller dog breeds for individuals contemplating ownership.」

  • 原文:「A dog leash was involved in 8189 injuries, resulting in a national estimate of 356,746 injuries and an estimated rate of 63.4 injuries per 1,000,000 population. Of these injuries, 193,483 resulted from a pull, 136,767 from a trip/tangle, and 26,496 from other or unknown circumstances. The total injury rate per 1,000,000 population increased from 25.4 in 2001 to 105.5 in 2018.」

  • 题录:Plusch K, Givner D, Wiafe B, Lutsky K, Beredjiklian P (2026).
  • 原文(摘要):「We identified 443 patients that presented for a dog-leash-related injury.」「Surgery occurred following injury in 96 patients (21.6%).」「The majority of injuries were caused by the extremity catching in the leash while being pulled (337, 75.9%).」
  • 原文(动作依据):「the results of our study suggest that a leash should never be wrapped around the hand or fingers, as a sudden pull can lead to the common types of injuries seen in our practice. Maintaining the leash firmly in the palm of the hand is the safest way to avoid injury to the finger and wrist. However, this does not necessarily reduce the risk of falls following a sudden lunge by the dog. With larger dogs especially, a shorter leash length reduces the amount of time for the dog to build up speed, reducing the possibility of a strong pull to the owner once the dog reaches the end of the leash. Additionally, longer leashes increase the possibility of the leash wrapping around other objects and creating a tripping hazard for the owner.」
  • 作者同时写明「our study data do not provide information related to prevention of these injuries」,所以这是建议,不是研究结论。

MMWR 58(11):277-281(PMID 19325528)。
  • 原文:「an estimated average of 86,629 fall injuries associated with cats and dogs occurred in the United States each year during 2001--2006」「Nearly 7.5 times as many injuries involved dogs (76,223 [88.0%])」
  • 原文:「Twenty-six percent of falls involving dogs occurred while persons were walking them, and the most frequent circumstances were falling or tripping over a dog (31.3%) and being pushed or pulled by a dog (21.2%).」
  • 原文(动作依据):「reinforcing American Veterinary Medical Association recommendations emphasizing obedience training for dogs ( 3 ) to minimize behaviors associated with falls (e.g., pushing or pulling).」

Rosa R, Buckley RE (2024). JAVMA 262(7):973-978. https://doi.org/10.2460/javma.23.11.0608 摘要原文:「there is a lack of information regarding dog size, breed, training status, the type of leash used at the time of injury」。
